The domain name Aerospace.com is at auction at NameJet.com ends tomorrow and the bids have just topped $75K.
The current high bid as time of publication is $75,100 but the high bidder is NameJet.com reserve meaning that the sellers reserve is set higher.
There are 312 bidders in the auction but only 2 that have placed bids $10K or higher.
I just went back to read the announcement from NameJet.com that was sent out to its customers a couple of weeks ago on some premium domain names including this particular domain & it was listed like this:
Aerospace.com 7/19/2011 7/22/2011 Low Reserve
Hum
Low Reserve and we are at over $75K and reserve hasn’t been hit.
Not sure that is what I would call a “low reserve”
So what do you guys think, sale or no sale?
Is there an affiliate program where I can sell planes if I win that domain name?
I guess if you just sell one plane, it makes up the cost of the domain.
There are 9,900 monthly US searches for the exact term.
I’d guess reserve is like $98,900.
Not low though.
And won’t sell.
Space Tourism.
How much does Russia charge for a trip to outer space? $5M?
To say that it has a “low reserve” is (was) misleading. Disappointing. Silly.
Yes, it will sell, even though it does not have a low reserve, and bidders were mislead in that regard.
A Co-Brand for an airplane manufactutrer, Boeing, Lockheed Martin – making it worth 7 figures should they come to the table – which they will not today . That said I would consider $150K a “Low Reserve” – i.e. for a speculator – no different than what I considered $35K to be for a speculator of OrangeJuice.com vs. a considerable amount more for an orange juice manufacturer.
It closed at $ 160,200.
The reserve price was $ 80,000.
Oddly even though I figured 150k as the reserve – had that actuallybeen the reserve – the domain likely would not have sold – let alone at a few grand more
aerospace.com is one of the best domains on sale this year
domainstate sucks by the way, DNF owns 😉
“domainstate sucks”??
Not. At. All. And how unnecessarily rude.
DNW is excellent. But they are different products.
I particularly appreciate the quality of the DS writing, and that it is no so parochial, ie written as if every reader is American.
wow expensive domain name
