That sounds very interesting. I wonder if more startups will start to trend in this direction.

$3-million was a bargain for this asset. Interesting, indeed.

again, again, again, and again, it’s clear that VCs prefer to invest in gambling-like startups, that, they believe, may become big and valuable like Google or Facebook, but they FAIL over 99.9% of times in their attempts!

“SocialMedia’s biggest asset today is probably its domain name.”

That´s indeed interesting considering some predictions that social media may make domain names obsolete. (But Facebook, Google, Amazon and others have been buying recently.)

    @ Good Domain names

It will be at least 10-15 years before domains could even possibly become obsolete. Until a better doorway is found, there is no chance. A domain is like a house address. I believe most people don’t want to be put in the land of number obscurity. Loss of an identifying factor and all. Think about your home address. Who wants their home address to be ghjturyetdhfj?!

it will never happen, while I believe (and hope) that all http www and TLDs will be no longer necessary, someday

It is a great domain, no doubt.

On a side note, yesterday got offer for SocialCasino.

Just proves, that ‘social’ is getting very popular these days.
