Demand, VeriSign, Web.com and Neustar Added To Our Domain Stock Index

We added 4 companies to our Domain Stock Index which tracks some of the public companies that are heavily involved in domain names.

As always stock prices are updated every 15 minutes through each trading day.

The stock index is located on the bottom right of our main page.

Demand Media owns Enom.com the 2nd largest registrar in the world, NameJet.com the auction house, and hundreds of thousands of domains.

VeriSign as most of you know runs the .com and .net registries and also owns the .Tv registry.  The also have a service to provide back end services for existing and new gTLD registries

Web.com purchased Register.com last year which is another top 10 registrar. Web.com also does “online marketing services for small businesses, including website design and publishing, online marketing and advertising, search engine optimization, lead generation and e-commerce solutions, more than 15 million successful websites have been created with Web.com tools and services”

Neustar is a back end provider for registries as well and currently powers such registries as .Co, .biz and .Us and expects to be a big player in providing backend services for new gTLD registries.
