BFO.com Sells for $23K on Sedo.com

November 6, 2010 by Michael Berkens

The domain name BFO.com sold today on Sedo.com on one bid at $23,000

Yes there is a bfo.co.uk, and some slang meanings for the term,  but at the end of the day its a fair price for a domainer to domainer sale still showing that domain are in fact a liquid commodity and good domains can raise cash on a moments notice, unlike many assets.

Good domains are a “liquid commodity”? That’s straight up crazy talk.

There are tons of “good” domains at Afternic, Sedo, Bido, Boxcar, Latonas…etc. that don’t get a bid even at very low reserves.

3-letter .com names are liquid, but “good” names? Not so much, IMHO.

No desperate but the domain sold, which makes it a liquid investment

If you own a domain and throw it up for sale for a good chunk of change and it sells the same days that not horrible in this economy

The way I heard it went down, was the buyer of the domain, made the seller of the domain a Big Fuckin Offer (BFO) that he could not refuse.

    🙂
