.XXX Registry Buys DotXXX.Com & Goes With “Lets Be Adult About It” As It Slogan

November 4, 2010 by Michael Berkens

The ICM registry has just acquired the domain name DotXXX.com within the last week and it now redirects to their official site ICMRegistry.com

The ICM registry paid $25,000 for the domain that was formerly owned by someone in Korea.

The domain will be used in all future advertising for the registry.

The registry which has already hired the global advertising and marketing firm of  M&C Saatchi to handle it’s account, have come up with their slogan which will be used in all future advertising.

The tag line, Lets Be Adult About It” will appear along with DotXXX.com in all future media campaigns.

I’ll save you the trouble from looking, yes the ICM registry owns the domain, LetsBeAdultAboutIt.com and that domain re-directs to ICMRegistry.com as well.

The registry also owns DotXXX.co and LetsBeAdultAboutIt.co.

The acquisition of DotXXX.com seems like a wise one for the registry and certainly has a much better ring to it for advertising than ICMregistry.com.

The contract between ICM and ICANN is now out for GAC approval which is required to file a report on their findings by the ICANN meeting in Colombia in December.

what if you hear “DotXXX.com” in a conversation – what was that? dot or .XXX.com, idk not exactly the best domain, kind of confusing for people unfamiliar with the composition of domains
