SearchIgnite.com: PPC Advertising Up 6% For The Year

SearchIgnite.com, which claims to manage more than $600 million in pay-per-click (PPC) spending every year, just released its latest report on the paid search market in the US for the third quarter.

According to the company, spending on PPC advertising increased 5.8%, year-over-year.

Month-over-month figures also increased with July growing 4.9%, August 5.8% and September 6.7%.

The company also says of all PPC spending Google has an 80% market share.

The report tracked more than 55 billion impressions and more than 1 billion clicks on Google, Yahoo and MSN/Bing from January 1, 2006 through September 30, 2010.

    Is this adjusted for CPC inflation, or the technological changes that google has made to increase impressions and CTR or is this a raw number? There are a number of factors involved otherwise it’s just self promotion.

    80% sounds right, while Yahoo/MSFT are still trying to figure out the whole PPC thing Google is building cars that drive themselves and laying down underwater pipes to transmit offshore wind generated electricity.

    Well it’s good to be on the right track when making worth of the advertisement you have now, and it is proven that the right way now to obtain top ranking in search engines is to search for a group targeted keywords for more productive PPC.
