BuyDomains.com Moving Some Inventory On NameJet.com

May 21, 2010 by Michael Berkens

Well add BuyDomains.com to the growing list of companies that are selling off some of their less desirable domains on NameJet.com

NameJet.com which started an an auction house for expiring domains, opened itself up to private sales as well, that get mixed into the expired domain auctions last year.

It now appears that Buydomains.com has listed some of its inventory on NameJet.com

Once such domain is SouthTomsRiver.com which has to be backordered by May 30th and has a minimum bid of $69.

NameJet.com had a one time a requirement that the domain to be listed on the site has to be registered at enom.com.

However BuyDomains.com uses domaindiscover.com as their registrar.

Yet more ” non strategic” domains being moved.

It would be logical that Namejet would have that requirement just to protect themselves.
It is to prevent a transfer default by a questionable seller.

It is very easy for Enom to push (and control) the domain within accounts for complete customer satisfaction and safety.

NameMedia and Enom have had a long relationship. Plus, it is easy enough to transfer from DomainDiscover to another registrar if all parties are trustworthy.

Michael, since you also own your own registrar, you know you have the option of bypassing the 5 day wait period. As the losing registrar, you have the option to log into your verisign control panel and immediately honor the transfer. Most public registrars will not do that because it involves manual effort and possibly legal exposure if something is discovered fraudulent at a later date.
