Will Moniker.com Sell Another Million Dollar Domain Today?

May 18, 2010 by Michael Berkens

In the Moniker showcase auction ending today, the domain name Quotes.com has a $1M bid.

While the domain has not hit reserve at $1M, it maybe one of those domains that sell shortly after the auction as Slots.com did last week.

If so it would mark the 3rd Million dollar sale for Moniker in just about a week, giving a real shot in the arm to the industry.

We will keep you updated

    Hello Mike,

There is no doubt in my mind, that of all the secondary auctioneers Moniker is the best. The domainers industry needs a shot in the arm and needs to get traffic revenue back. If you cannot beat them join them and then beat them. This is exactly what UseBiz.com plans to do, give back the traffic revenues to direct search. I am looking for a few good men as partners, Please reply through my website if interested.

    Gratefully,

    Jeff

Big ticket sales helps lift all domain prices to some degree.

However, you will find if Moniker keeps landing these large transactions, the small and medium size domainers will become less important to Moniker.

    Naturally, Moniker will rebuttal that.

If small and medium size domainers become less important to Moniker then Rick, Sedo, Afternic and the rest will capitalize on this said gap.

I don’t think this would happen.
