RickLatona.com just released the list of the domains he will be auctioning off in the Live Domain Auction from the TRAFFIC show in Milan.
The auction will be held on April 28th at 10am EST and remote bidding will be on Proxibid.com.
Reserve Ranges are stated in EURO’s.
As of Friday’s close, the exchange rate of Euro’s to dollars is approximately: 1 Euro= $1.35 US.
So if a domain has a reserve of 10,000 Euro’s your looking at $13,500 approximately.
There are some great domains on this list.
Tuscany.com, Cheesecake.com, Remix.com, Erotica.com and Hear.com all caught my eye immediately on a quick pass through but there are plenty of really good names here and they cover everything from .com’s .net’s and to ccLTD’s like .de, .tv. .it, .co.uk, .fr, .eu even some .pl and .do domains.
There are a lot of 3 letter .com’s on the list with reserve ranges from 1,000-5,000 euro’s, something like 15+ of these.

a very poor number of .it domains for an auction to be held in Italy
I see many .com names and not so many real European ccTLDs (.de, .fr, .it, .es, .pl, .eu etc.). There’s still a LOT to do on ccTLD market. CU in Milan!
We tried to get more ccTLDs but we received a lot of bad submissions. We can only work with what we get.
As for .it domains, they weren’t well represented in submissions either. The show is also a T.R.A.F.F.I.C. show. Italy is just the venue.
You guys can talk all you want about needing more ccTLDs and more .it domains but we all know it would serve no purpose for me to put names in that would have no chance of getting bids.
It’s an amazing list! It’s nice to see some obscure ccTLD extensions: .do, .io, .ai, .to, .ac – I had to look them up! mafia.tv could be a site that downloads Sopranos reruns . . .

All of the complaining about the auction list is a bunch of crap.
Whatever Latona offers will make someone upset.
Too many .com or too many .info or too many .it.
Or, the quality of the list is weak or the reserve prices are too high.
I hear the same complaints about every auction year after year after year.
And, the irony is that most of the people complaining would never be a bidder anyway.

I honestly feel like Rick and his crew have stepped it up bigime in the past several months. In my opinion I would say the cream is rising.
It will be really interesting to see what Cheesecake.com goes for. It would be interesting to get some perspective from the previous owner on why the business did not work for them.

In addition to CHEESECAKE.COM, I’ve also included two of my other domains in the TRAFFIC auction, CRAVINGS.COM and TEMPTATIONS.COM .
CRAVINGS.COM is in my opinion a terrific domain with enormous branding and promotion potential. Think of a product like GlaxoSmithKline’s Nicorette, or Jenny Craig, or Weight Watchers or any pharmaceutical giant that markets addiction treatment products. Can you think of a better domain from which to promote such products to a general worldwide audience.
