February 1, 2010 by Michael Berkens

At both the Ricklatona.com auction at TRAFFIC and the DomainFest live domain name auction last week, several .mx domains sold for high four to mid four figures.

I noted that today on Bido.com there are quite a few one word, .mx (country code for Mexico) domains, many of which start at $28

bedroom.mx
application.mx
adoption.mx
satellite.mx

window.mx

IMO, it makes no sense to buy a non-spanish name with an country code .mx that speaks spanish.

    Thanks, Jim

There are some words that are the same meaning and spelling in English/Spanish and hopefully I am the only one who knows those:)

Michael, great meeting you and your wife at DomainFest!!! Really enjoy your blog.

    Thanks, Jim

    I picked-up Las.mx which is “The” in Spanish. Also picked-up a few English .mx’s that I couldn’t resist:

    Long.mx
    Networking.mx
    Window.mx
    Application.mx

I will be developing each of these into one-page landers in Spanish similar to the one-page sites I build for my English domains. Now I just have to find a Spanish content-writer!
