Another 4 Letter .com Site Is Launched Today By The Entourage Star Adrien Grenier (Vince): SHFT.com

December 15, 2009 by Michael Berkens

Well in what is becoming a trend another site was launched today using a  LLLL.com domains.

This time its Adrien Grenier, star of the HBO series Entourage (he plays Vince) which is  behind the launch of the site SHFT.com (who doesn’t love that show?)

According to the site, Shft.com is a “new media platform, offering original video series, curated shopping and a host of resource which speak to a modern, inspirational eco-conscious lifestyle.”

This marks another in a long line of 4 letter .com’s which are being used to launch a big time web site, (for other examples click here, here and here)

For domainers which own 4 letter .com’s you should be aware of the growing popularity of these type of domains.

If you want two possible “correct” spellings of this domain, shift.com it is offered for sale on Sedo.com with a starting price of $140K, however Shit.com does not appear to be available.

Crap.

the high value of the four letters (or short) domains is a myth, since, a long but GOOD domain, is ways better (and easy to remember for users) than a short domain that has no common meaning
