Talk About Pissing Your Money Away, How Can 4 Typos of ToonTown.com Be Worth $4K To Anyone?

October 23, 2009 by Michael Berkens

A few days ago I posted a blog on my number one rule to avoid failure in the domain industry is not to piss your money away.

Today on Godaddy.com,  there are 4 typos for the site, ToonTown.com on the expired auction block with a total high bid price of almost $4K with almost 3 days to go.

The domains are:

TooTown.com

tooontown.com

tontown.com

toontowm.com

The total estimated traffic to the 4 domains are about 3,500 visitors a month according to Godaddy.com

Of course as an added bonus,  ToonTown.com from the Who Framed Roger Rabbit Movie,  is trademarked by Disney, who vigorously defends their trademarks.

So not only are the bidders completing to overpay for 4 typos of a trademarked term,  but the winners of the auctions will get a nice C &D letter or a nicer lawsuit from Disney to top it off.

Talk about pissing money away.

I asked my Executive Accounts rep about the high bids on not so great domains that I have been seeing lately and he told me there is a new wave of domainers coming to town and they don’t know what they are doing. They are, according to him, “learning the ropes” the hard way.

Why why why do you have to educate the newbies??

Let them learn …the hard $$$$ way.

I always always tell others to buy info, org, us,me,asia,tv,cm…anything besides dot com–just to spur up the economy.

I tell others I make Millions $$$ in a month in domaining buy using my propriety software.

My special software registers millions of domains per day and at the end of the 11th hour of the 7th day, it kicks out all the dead domains and keeps the money making domains.

    That it…plain and simple

    Thank you domain tasting.

    Bulls,

I believe you would do that.
I’m sure glad I didn’t ask you to mentor me.

However, I have mentored many over my many years in the business.
