DomainFest Early Bird Registration Opens; Schedule Announced

August 25, 2009 by Michael Berkens

DomainSponsor, the domain monetization business of Oversee.net and organizer of DOMAINfest,  opened early bird registration today and published a preliminary agenda for DOMAINfest Global 2010 which will be held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. from January 26-28, 2010.

The entire property has been reserved exclusively for this conference.

Registration, which includes all sessions, meals and official parties, is offered at an early bird discounted rate of $895 through September 30, 2009, after which it increases to the standard rate of $1,095 per guest. To register now, go to domainfest.com/register.

The theme of this year’s conference is Domain Names:  Overlooked.  Underutilized.  Essential to Online Marketing Success.

The agenda focuses on Internet real estate and its powerful role in the online economy.

Owning the right domain name “location” is becoming more and more essential as businesses and individuals continue to build and depend on a stronger online presence.

DOMAINfest Global Agenda”

Session topics will include:
* Turning Killer Domain Names Into Killer Websites

Expert panelists present examples of developed websites that lead their niches in attracting end-users and generating revenue. They decode key elements that make websites great, providing a list of best practices for website projects.

* Domain Names: How Prime Internet Real Estate Builds SEO and SEM Success

Domain names are often overlooked – but are absolutely essential – when it comes to maximizing both organic and paid-search traffic. Our panel of specialists share real-life examples of how the right Internet real estate can make a big difference in SEO and SEM results.

* PITCHfest:  Vote for the Best

In this fun, rapid-fire session, six hand-picked finalists have mere minutes to pitch entrepreneurial ideas in two categories: 1) truly innovative techniques or services for increasing traffic and revenue, or 2) plans for turning an undeveloped category-killer domain name (domain to be announced soon) into a fully developed money-making website. Real-time text message votes decide who gets the grand prize.

* New gTLDs: Bonanza or Bust?

Will potentially new global top-level domains like .food, .eco or .younameit provide powerful online marketing and branding opportunities? Our diverse panel of experts provides a range of perspectives to help you better prepare for the coming of the new gTLDs.

DOMAINfest will also feature TWO Moniker,  domain auctions.

Domain Auction Times

* Moniker’s Low and No Reserve Live Domain Auction will be held January 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Pacific time.
* Moniker’s Premium Live Auction will be held January 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Pacific time.

Moniker’s Extended Online Auction will run from January 29 through February 4.  Auction details can be viewed at domainfest.com/auction.

Structured Networking

Back by popular demand, guests will again be given the opportunity to ask questions and build beneficial business relationships with a variety of experts in a series of structured, yet casual networking activities.  Experts in areas such as SEO/SEM, domain development, legal and trademark issues, and buying and selling domains will be available.   This year, the structured networking sessions will take place in the morning after breakfast and before the official conference sessions start at 11:00 a.m.

DOMAINfest Connect

To enhance networking before, during and after the January 2010 event, DOMAINfest will again offer DOMAINfest Connect, a free online community which  automatically matches up members based on common interests and professional objectives.

Members do not need to be a registered DOMAINfest Global attendee to join DOMAINfest Connect. For more info on this visit: domainfestconnect.com.
