Let’s play a game.

Take the following domains and tell me would you pay these amounts to buy them, or take these amounts to sell them if you owned them.

That’s your choice; Buy or Sell at these prices and later on today I will let you on to the secret, which if you know already, congrats, but don’t spoil it for the rest of us.

Here’s the domains, make you picks by copying and pasting in the comment section with your picks for each, Buy or Sell:

Videospark.com    $8,500

Wet.net                   $6,500

55R.com                 $6,000

You know Mike, you are a scary dude!!

I am looking for the microphone in my mind.

Today I thought of doing a post that listed 50 domains and I was going to bet that few could actually pick out the winners.

So let’s say some SCHMUCK domainer buys the entire list to start his “Portfolio”……….

$37,000 and they are a domainer. We laugh. With 37 grand both of us KNOW we can find gem afer gem. $37 grand here and you just pissed $37 grand away. Give the $$$ to your mother, father, sister, next door neighbor……..

I certainly would’t pay those prices for them, but if they where my domains and those where genuine offers to buy I would take the money and run, so SELL SELL SELL.

If someone offered me the cash for them, I would sell.

Dont think I would buy any of these at those prices, not when there are other great names out there going so Cheap!

I would sell them all at those prices rather than buy them.

The only buy from my perspective would be Monroe.net , I could have it developed and make up the cost paid with ad sales within 3 weeks. Other than that no other buys but I would sell if I had an offer at that price.

There is a huge influx of new cash it seems on the auctions and they don’t know what/how to buy.

I’ve been noticing these new crazy bidders for about a month now.

Oh and Black Rickshaw above should STFU because he buys $1K sells for $1M, so he would not buy for this price but he would not sell either

    I won’t play, here’s why:

If one buys something with an idea of what to do with it (assuming he is able), then all bets are off. “Ready, Willing, & Able” stands true to domains as well.

Let’s take wet.net as an example. Liquid trading value (domainer to domainer market) is under 10K likely, but what is it worth to say Mountain Creek Waterpark (http://www.mountaincreekwaterpark.com/), if they decided to re-brand? Is it 10K, 20K, 200K, 2M? Whatever the number is, what are THEY going to base it on? It surely isn’t going to be based on “resale”, nor “type ins”. They are going to base it on their own ideas, on their own vision. That, none of us have the insight, none of us can fully grasp what’s in the mind (and hearts) of a visionary.

So there isn’t right or wrong in your game, just perspectives. From domaining point of view it may be one range, for bottom fishers it may be another, and for the end users, it will likely be completely different.

    Best,

    Sahar

If research is allowed, done in real time, I’d BUY Videospark.com, and SELL the rest. (Then B/O the rest.)

But in hypothetical, I’d BUY Monroe.net, and SELL the others.

    Wet.net – sell

    55R.com – sell

    LejourPlus.com – sell

Monroe.net – buy – many businesses, towns, counties, schools and surnames are all ‘monroe’
