3rd Day Of .Me Auction Results On NameJet.com

June 10, 2009 by Michael Berkens

Today the auctions closed for 3 more .me registry owned domains, representing in my opinion the weakest of the group, with live.me selling for $3,501, kick.me at $3K, and network.me closing out at $2K.

The next couple of days has some good .me finishing up at auction, including teach.me, invite.me, remind.me and face.me

We will keep you updated.

I like Kick.Me but if someone put that on a billboard, I’m not sure people would know it was a url, most people don’t know anything beyond .com, .net, and .org.

Even if they put http://www.kick.me, I’m sure people will be typing in http://www.kickme.com

It’s incredible how much .me’s are selling for in such an early stage, when a more generic and IMHO better domain extension like the .us. The .us extension has been struggling for years to get some footing, thankfully it has started to, but it really just goes to show how marketing has effected the prices of these domains.

Also, as a funny side note, I live in Tempe and was driving on the 202 which is near Arizona State University and I actually saw a .me billboard. I can’t remember what it is, but I could not believe it.
