Here’s what I don’t understand:
Lots of mediocre expiring & deleting domains in auction get plenty of bids, while higher quality, private seller domains with equivalent minimums attract zero interest.
What’s up with that?
Mark; one factor applicable to some/many:
The illogical perception that if a domain is being “foreclosed on” (deleted for non-payment) that it must be a good deal.
Happens all the time in the real estate world; where folks often pay 90-100% of a foreclosed home’s value just because it’s a foreclosure, and therefore must be a great deal.
In fact, this applies to an even higher degree w/domains, since; though similar/equivalent some be to others; each and every name is in fact unique (unlike w/homes; which normally be at least be”comped” with other comparable area homes relatively easily) … making it easier/more “justifiable” to pay more for domain repos that for home repos.
In spirit of this sale, I just registered FixedMortgages.us.
Thanks for the information. Nice to see k50.com go for $1,900. Last week I bought p50.com.
I agree that FixedMortgage.com was an excellent purchase.
I bet the buyer (Ammar) could get his money back within a year if they developed it. Apparently, he might be thinking about that since he also purchased FixedMortgage.net for around $ 360.
Namejet is laughing all of the way to the bank since they are selling something with very little cost (1 yr. of renewal) for high prices.
As stated by others, there are thousands of premium domains that could be purchased cheaper than the mediocre domains Namejet auctions off.
