Bido.com Back In Action Today: Here’s What You Need To Know

February 19, 2009 by Michael Berkens

Bido.com the unique 1 domain a day auction platform, returns to service today.

As we all know the site was taken down for technical difficulties last year.

Bido.com’s model of 1 domain a day all starting at $1, ensures a sale a day for the service and the domain holder.  The service saw a good deal of activity and had some nice sales last year in the four and five figures, and we expect it to return, better than ever.

Some of the sale from last year included:

discountimages.com $911 20 bids
ryy.com $7124 10 bids
spywarehelp.com $1564 17 bids
domaintalk.com $2415 12 bids
debtnews.com $10628 60 bids
dickinson.com $12000 26 bids

You can list your domain for sale for 8% commission.

Bido.com handles the auction, escrow of the domain and collection and disbursement of funds.

At this point Bido.com is only accepting .com domains for sale.  Because they only auction 1 domain a day, they are highly selective and prefer only one or two word generic domains, with no hyphens or numbers.

Bido.com auctions run every day Monday-Friday.  To get the most viability the auctions do not run on the weekend.

Bidding starts at 1pm EST and runs for an hour.

Also unique to Bido.com is that you will find “Expert Members” giving their honest opinion on each of the daily domain names as to their value.

To become an Expert Member on Bido.com, you can just log into your Bido.com account and click the link to request the designation.

Expert Members gain benefit from participating in commentaries on domains, because in each commentary, we will permanently link back to the website of the Expert Member’s choosing.

Bido.com pulls the Expert Members’ RSS feeds, so if you have a blog, or some other feed URL, they will grab the recent entries and display them (and the respective links) in your Bido profile. This can help you optimizing your website in the search engines with the relevant links back from Bido.com. You will also gain exposure and notoriety for yourself and your brand as the other members and site visitors read your comments, especially if you get many of the domain auction results right.

To register to bid, to sell and to become an Expert Member, you have to signup for an account at Bido.com, which you can do by clicking here.

The domains scheduled to be auctioned off over the next 11 days are:
