Y3.COM in Auction at Snap: How Much Will it Go For?

August 27, 2008 by Michael Berkens

The domain name Y3.com is currently in a closed auction at snapnames.

The domain is currently at $7,450 and closes tomorrow.  There appears to be around 100 bidders

Anyone want to guess the final price.

My pick is around $15K.

I think you are getting special treatment Michael.. lol Hmmm I had that backordered and when I backordered it, I think their were 147 backorders ish.

Now why I am not in an auction that I backordered is something for SnapNames.com to explain. I am thinking the same thing happened to Tony above.

I say $17,600. Now if adidas and the y3 line where looking for domain names like this, the old owner could of banked some money. I think adidas would pay a hefty price for this name if they knew about this name and that its up for auction.

Turn up your volume and check the site y3/adidas site out. Enter it and move your cursor around.. Pretty strange site.

Was not aware this was available , not seen in European business journals, advertising – communication blogs or English speaking .ch business forums. The $ is a weak currency.
Looks like yet another case of poor marketing on the part of the little America auction house mindset.
The Auction housed have a duty of care the to client to ensure best value (I have never seen any proof that )
Gentlemen, Worldwide the value of Y3.COM
    is higher than your valuations

    Guys

There are 3 trademarks for y-3 and one for y3.

    Change anyone’s mind

    Current high bid is $17,700

No point in buying this as it’s trademarked. Adidas would sue your ass sooner or later and take over your site for free before you know it.

This stuff happens all the time. Stupid trademarks and copyrights
