Shoppers.com Sells for $166K at Pool.com

February 6, 2008 by Michael Berkens

The domain shoppers.com sold today at pool.com for $166K.

The domain which was a network solutions registered name looked like it was going to be a pre-release domain at namejet.com and actually had bids up to $10,000 on the NameJet.com  prelease  auction.

The question is why did the domain get dropped in the regular cue is rather through NameJet.com and what would hthe domain had sold for if the domain was auctioned at namejet.com instead.  My guess is it would have certainly went over 200K.

Hi Mike. I was fooled by the namejet emails too , but it was bad whois and a registry deletion apparently .

Well the domain was definitely registered with network solutions, so how it wound up in a general drop rather than namejet.com is still questionable.

I think it was a just a mistake, a very expensive one, by the registrar
