Where to Find Good Domains

December 7, 2007 by Michael Berkens

We get asked all the time where to find good recently dropped names that can be registered for without having to slug it out in the auctions

One such place is dailydomaindrop.com. Five days a week they publish a list of between 50-100 domains that have recently dropped and are available for registration. For $60 a month you become a premium member and get access to their list which is published Sunday-Thursday at 8pm EST.

All the domains on the list are available at the time of publication, but as you would suspect most are taken within minutes of publication. Your not going to find any six figure names on the list, but you will definitely see many names well worth registering. You can register any name you see on the list, using any registrar you want. In addition to the $60 per month membership fee, you have to pay dailydomaindrop.com $2 for each domain you register, via paypal. The $2 charge is by the honor system meaning you won’t get a bill for each registration, you just need to send it to them as you register domains.

As an alternative you can join for $20 a year as a regular member and you will get the same list 16 hours later. You still have to pay $2 per domain registered, but don’t expect to find too many names still available from the previous night.

If you only register 1 domain a day off their list then your looking at something like $4.50 paid to them plus your registration cost of say $8 or around $12.50 a name.

Cheap.

Nice writeup. I’ve come across that site a few times but have never taken the plunge. I suppose $20 isn’t much to pay just to get a sampling of the types of names they provide.

As stated, I can’t imagine too many high dollar gems are in there considering the tasters are trying them on for 5-10 days before they actually let them drop to the rest of us. Still, some good keyword domains make it through as long as they don’t produce any traffic during the tasting period.

I’m not much for self promotion but I know of another good source for available domains and it’s completely free.

    We will check it out.

I don’t think any of these domains are going to generate traffic but I do think you can find domain’s here for $15 basically and resell them later on for 1K++
