The .web auction will conclude today and in the opinion of those  who participated in the poll, it’s going to be the most expensive new gTLD string.

In a poll posted on TheDomains two weeks ago,  we asked readers what they thought the high bid price would be in the ICANN auction being held today.

60% of the voters believe the string will sell for $50 Million or more with almost 20% thinking the string will sell for over $100 Million

Since this is an ICANN auction, the losers will not get to split the proceeds.

The last ICANN auction of a new gTLD resulted in .shop selling for over $41,500,000

Here are the results:

$5 Million-$10 Million
8%

$10 Million $20 Million
5%

$20 Million – $30 Million

8%

$30 Million $40 Million
5%

$40 Million – $50 Million

13%

$50 Million -$60 Million
20%

$60 Million – $75 Million

11%

$75 Million -$100 Million

11%

$100 Million +
