New gTLD .Store Winds Up With 1st day Total Of 22,682

The new gTLD .Store went into general availability (GA) yesterday by Radix, where it could be registered on a 1st come, 1st served basis.

After the 1st day of GA including the 600+ registrations by trademark holders in Sunrise and those domain name registered for an extra fee in the Early Access Program, .Store wound up with 22,682 domain names.

.Store which has premium registration and renewal rates.

The largest domain name registrar for .Store was HiChina which had over 32% of all registrations or 7,264.

The second largest registrar of the .Store new gTLD was Godaddy which got almost 10% of all registrations at 2,227.

Chengdu West (West.cn) was the third largest registrar was right behind in third with 2,198 domain registrations.

In all 33 registrars had 100 registrations or more.

The backend provider of .Store is CentralNic.

    More Chinese hoopla and hype, only proves they are clueless in what they are doing. Throwing money in a fire, it will only get large for so long before it fizzes out.
