Verizon has Filed the 1st UDRP For a .Porn Domain Name: Verizon.Porn
The domain name was registered on June 4, 2015 and is owned by an Adam Rothman of Roslyn New York.
Despite paying $1,500 in filing fees to gain control of Verizon.Porn, Verizon hasn’t bothered to register the new gTLD .adult which was released at the same time. Verizon.adult remains unregistered as of publication.
Verizon did gain control of the domain name VerizonWireless.porn on June 29th after it was registered by a third party and transferred to it after what we only assume was a C & D letter.

Verizon does not own Verizon.xxx which is reserved by the ICM Registry so that Verizon didn’t have to register it.
Judging from the fact that they have not regged Verizon.adult, they are not qualified for having Verizon.porn. There is no need to protect one who is sleeping on its right, if there is any.
I guess they have no right to do a porn business.
Veriizon should prepare to file more UDRPs because I believe there are many other new GTLD registrations that may violate their trademark.
