According to Stuart Lawley the CEO of ICM Registry the operator of .XXX, .porn and .adult registry about 4,000 domain names were registered in the 1st hour of general availability today of the new gTLD’s .porn and .adult that went live at noon EST today.
Of today’s registrations about 60% where for .porn and 40% were for .adult
The first .porn domain that was registered was large.porn
The 2nd .porn domain name registered was freehd.porn
The first .adult domain registered was casino.adult
The second .adult domain name registered was vancouver adult
My first domain registered today was 3-d.porn.
ICM definitely hitting it out of the ballpark. I could see anyone who registers a .porn/.adult either keeping it for years to come. Casino.adult is brilliant. Never even thought of it. I like 3-d.porn over large.porn.
at least ICM knows better than to have that premium pricing crap. though most of the domains i checked were reserved. i bought a bunch of xxx domains, never a single offer. i doubt it will be any different with these.
