Yes,I think you are right. Com will stay for a long time with us. Maybe with some new generic like .web, maybe even .uno, but it’s going to take a while..
What is intuitive about .com ? The new g’s may not be good but I think certain combos are at least intuitive college.football for example. Dot com will continue to dominate either way.
Has anyone ever heard the word “com” used in real life except as part of the word “dotcom”? Com is not intuitive whereas school, football and casino, being everyday words, are.

Meanwhile, if you ask ten people on the street what .COM stands for I’d be surprised if more than one knew the correct answer.
