University Of Florida Files UDRP On 18 Year Old FloridaGators.com

After a short 18 years the University of Florida apparently has filed a UDRP to gain control of the domain name FloridaGators.com

The current website has the following disclaimer on it:

However since Screenshots.com does not have a historical record of what the domain looked liked in the past,  we have no way of knowing what appeared on the page in the past.

The domain appears to have been owned by the current owner since at least 2001 although the domain name itself has a creation date of January 17th, 1997.

I’m assuming it’s the University of Florida that filed the UDRP but the Complainant is currently not listed.

It will be interesting to see what UF has to say about the domain and its 14 year delay in filing the UDRP during which time they won 4 Major National Championships (2 Basketball/2 Football)

The Florida Gators women’s gymnastics team won their 3rd consecutive National Championship last week so congrats to Gator Nation on that one.

Now lets see what kind of a case they have put together on this domain.
