Namecheap.com has jumped on the outrage from Godaddy’s Super Bowl commercial and is offering a $3.98 special using the transfer code of  PUPPYLOVE to anyone to transfer in any .com, .net .org or .info and Namecheap will contribute $1.50 to the Humane Society for each domain name transferred.

As we noted earlier today people are really upset with the Godaddy ad that is scheduled to air on Sunday in the Superbowl but which was leaked out today.

You can check it people’s reaction to the ad, yourself by searching for the hashtag #Godaddypuppy on Twitter.

So we’re convinced GD is running one Super Bowl ad, and there’s not a happy ending for Buddy? I don’t recall a bad ending for an animal or pet during a Super Bowl campaign, and there’s been plenty of them. They all find nice homes or pastures of plenty. Great buzz creation here.

easyDNS also jumped on the puppygate bandwagon: (via Twitter)
“We think our #Superbowl commercial is pure gold. (It’s got girls in bikinis clubbing a baby seal to death). Checkmate #GoDaddy”
