Dolly Parton Is Pioneer For The New gTLD .Country: Gets Dolly.Country, DollyParton.Country; Dollywood.Country

Dolly Parton, the legendary Queen of Country, has agreed to be part of the .new gTLD country pioneer program and registered Dolly.Country, DollyParton.Country, Queenof.Country,  Dollywood.Country and 9to5.Country

The .Country pioneer program which allows  domain names to be registered by musicians, businesses, and organizations before the release of .Country domain names on to sale to the general public on September 15, 2014.

The new gTLD .Country is a joint venture between  registry operators Minds + Machines and Uniregistry although Minds + Machines will actually operate the registry.

Ms. Parton, in agreeing to be a .country pioneer, will assist in the launch of .Country by using her new domain names and by providing her name, image and other assistance.

Members of the .Country pioneer program receive their choice of domain names ahead of general release in exchange for their help in marketing the new top-level domain.

Dolly Parton owns and operates Dollywood.com an entertainment/Amusement Park in Pigeon Forge Tennessee

Domain names in .country will be available to all on September 15, 2014.

The estimated retail cost will typically start at around $25 a year.
