ICANN has just opened up a comment period on whether new gTLD strings should be allowed to register, sell and allocate two character new gTLD domain names i.e (LL, NN, NL, LN)
This exact comment period concerns those registries including Donuts that asked ICANN to allow these two charterer domains to be registered
“In total, the requests concern 148 New gTLDs.”
Of course this is the first request ICANN has gotten on allowing registration (and thereby sale) of Two Character New gTLD Domains and we can assume that the result from this request will apply defacto to all future requests as well.
The comment period is closes on July 10th at 23:59 UTC.

As required by the Registry Services Evaluation Policy, ICANN has undertaken a preliminary determination on whether the proposals might raise significant competition, security or stability issues. ICANN‘s preliminary review (based on the information provided) did not identify any such issues for these requests. Implementation of the proposal would require amendments to the Exhibit A of the respective Registry Agreements, which are being posted for public comment. |

I recommend a NO vote, until the registries come up with a 10 year price cap on the amount of annual price increases year over year since they going back to the drawing board to get more money on an agreed about fact, why not go back and fill in some loopholes?
