According to several sources, Bang With Friends, Inc., will Re-brand the company name its website and the name of its app, to settle its trademark suit brought by Zynga.
In July Zynga sued Bang With Friends, Inc. for infringing upon its trademark of “With Friends” brand.
In a statement issued by the companies, “Zynga Inc. and Bang With Friends, Inc. are pleased that they have reached an amicable resolution of their dispute. Although the terms of the settlement are confidential, Bang With Friends, Inc. acknowledges the trademark rights that Zynga has in its WITH FRIENDS marks and will be changing its corporate name and rebranding its services in the near future. It appears the company hand registered the domain name on August 28th, 2013.
The domain name NextBang.com has been registered since January 10, 2011. The site appears to be partially developed and owned by someone in China.
I have no idea if the company tried to buy the domain NextBang.com but it would have been a good idea before it released its new name.
It should be a wake up call for anyone who owns a domain name ending in “with friends”
