The domain name Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle.com has a most interesting whois record.

The domain which was registered back in 2005  expired in December 2012.

The domain name was re-registered fresh on July 9th, 2013 and look at who the whois is showing as the owner:

   Registrant:
   BILL GATES
   1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
   Mountain View, California 94043
   United States

   Administrative Contact:
      GATES, BILL heky66+godaddy@gmail.com
      1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
      Mountain View, California 94043
      United States
      12253412688

   Technical Contact:

   Domain servers in listed order:
      NS67.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
      NS68.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Right the domain is showing as being owned by a Bill Gates and registered to same address as the headquarters of Google.

The domain goes to a Godaddy.com placeholder.

That is the address of Google Inc. Someone internally was having some fun with registrant name.

It just shows how flawed the system is, I have even seen Mickey Mouse as a registrant, anybody can enter any information or address (Even TM infringing registrations in the names of your competition/enemies 🙂 ) , at the end of the day the admin email is what it matters.

and if you alert ICANN they now ask for proofs that the whois info is wrong…
