4 more New gTLD Apps Withdrawn Including Dish Networks Application For .Movie

Four more New gTLD applications have  been withdrawn today on ICANN website.

All four were either brand or closed generic applications.

Dish Network dropped its closed application for the new gTLD .Movie

Dish was to operate .movie “gTLD as a restricted, exclusively-controlled TLD and as such, will not be commercially offered for registration by the general public.”

Afterdot LLC applications to run closed new gTLD’s of .CHESAPEAKE and .CHK for Chesapeake Energy Corporation with a prioritization numbers of 479 and 820 respectively were withdrawn tonight.

L’Oréal dropped another .brand application as it pulled its 6th application of its originally filed 14 applications this time for .KERASTASE

3 of the 8 applicants for the new gTLD .movie have withdrawn their applications.

Currently the those still with applicants for .movie are Motion Picture Domain Registry Pty Ltd of Melbourne, Amazon which filed to operate the TLD as a closed registry, Donuts, Famous Four, and Google.

There are now 93 new gTLD application that have been withdrawn by applicants with ICANN.

    well in 2013 “acting” like an ultra-sarcastic uniformed domainer with get rich quick dreams is about as funny as going out on the street in a major city crowded downtown area and acting like you have a mental illness.

    its common, not many will think its funny when you’re pretending. you might as well spend your time telling knock-knock jokes..
