While it is not unusual to have a domain sale of mine end up in the hands of another domain investor, I do find it odd to see a domain sale reported by Afternic for a domain which I sold at SEDO recently, was only transferred to the buyer this past weekend and for which I have still not been paid for by SEDO. Hmm…
So did this sale at Afternic really occur?
Hint – the domain is related to the domain industry but oddly I don’t see it reported on this week’s SEDO sales report (as reported by TheDomains.com) – perhaps because I have not yet been paid.
I will add as well that when I received notice of the sale from SEDO that I had to remove the domain from both Afternic and Godaddy Premium Listings. But why would the domain sell at SEDO if the end buyer ended up buying (for a considerably higher price) at Afternic?
I guess it is possible a domain broker could make the connections but literally the domain was only in the hands of the buyer for one business day before it gets reported as SOLD by Afternic? Normally domain transfers will take a few days at least to clear due to the need to clear payment, obtain auth codes, etc.
Anyway, congrats to someone but SEDO needs to clear payment YA!

Is anyone wondering why so many secondary market sales are .COM Profit Centers?
You hardly ever see .whatever sales which are far and few between.
The mere fact that major players the gTLD applicants have chosen to try out Pure Play Generic markers = gTLDs to try to market Traffic back to their .COM Profit centers tells you that they know the power of Generic pure play Marketing Tools.
The catch twenty 22 for them is they do not control the .COM Pure Play Generics ,someone else controls these powerfull devices, it could be you, if you play your cards right. Whats the difference ? their right of the dot is not what consumers will trust to transact on? Is the picture getting clearer here?

For whatever its worth, a large part of the reason I completely abandoned reading the comments in this blog some months back is because of the [constant] disjointed ravings of Jeff Schneider.
Logging on and inevitably seeing the last 4 babbling comments are from him any time, day or night is very discouraging to the readership and severely undermines credibility among whatever outsiders happen to be peeking in.
The man is an embarrassment.
