Larry Fischer Teams Up With Coffee.Org To Launch HerbalTea.com

October 5, 2012 by Michael Berkens

Larry Fischer and Bill McClure announced the launch of HerbalTea.com today.

It’s a domain name Larry has owned since the 1990’s.

Conceived as a joint venture between veteran domainers, the site was developed with a singular purpose – selling and serving the most widely consumed beverage in the world to at home and office consumers.

The owners believe that due to an increasing consumption of tea in the United States, the tea time was right for a premier online store.  According to the Tea Association, In 2011, Americans consumed  well over 65 billion servings or 3 billion gallons of tea.  About 80% of all tea consumed is black tea, 19% is green tea and a small amount of the remaining is Chai, Oolong and White tea.  On any given day over 154 million Americans are drinking tea.

Larry owns the domain and Bill owns a national online coffee distribution company www.Coffee.org, the two realized it made perfect sense for a joint venture to create a one stop shop for tea.  McClure’s team sourced the teas, grown around the world.  Built on the Enterprise Mageneto ecommerce platform, the site is designed for ease of operation and has the scalability to serve thousands of customers this next year.

HerbalTea.com customers will find over 100 varieties available and much more.  In the specialized market of organic loose leaf teas, HerbalTea.com rivals any top shelf online tea retailer.

Coffee.org, formed in 2008 with Bill’s daughters Emmie and Ellie has grown into a full service business selling coffee online to over 45,000 customers nationwide.  The company contracts to roast, stocks and ships over 500 coffee related products from their warehouse in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Bill’s son, Gabe Roberts is the President of Coffee.org and operates the coffee and tea business.

Larry Fischer is a domain expert who specializes in top-level generic domains.  He has participated in some of the largest domain purchases to date including Home.com, Autoparts.com, Stocks.com, Design.com and Nursing.com.  Larry was a partner in SmartName.com, one of the first domain name parking companies that was later purchased by NameMedia.  Larry is currently developing some of the valuable domains in which he has an interest.  The latest  projects in development are SocialSecurity.com, and InsuranceQuote.com, which has seen a steady rise in user activity and earnings.  Larry operates a popular domain blog at DirectNavigation.com.

“Partnering with Larry for HerbalTea.com is an extraordinary opportunity to create a strong brand and provide tea lovers with an easy way to shop and compare their favorite gourmet tea online,” says Bill McClure, CEO of Emmie & Ellie’s Coffee.org, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Larry Fischer is nominated for both Domainer of The Year and for the Domain Hall of Fame TRAFFIC awards that will be handed out  Tuesday at the TRAFFIC conference.

We wish Larry and Bill the best of luck with the new venture.
