Last month, Research in Motion (RIM) who makes the blackberry devices had a huge service outage effecting millions of users in five continents for up to four days in which users were unable to access their email, Internet or messaging services.

Today it the company is the new owner of  the domain name BlackberryProblems.com.

If you Google the term “Blackberry Problems” you will see some 360,000 direct results and a PPC ad on the top for Blackberry.com/support.

The URL BlackberryProblems.com isn’t resolving so we don’t know if a site dedicated to customer support is coming or if it was a strictly defensive or maybe they are expecting more problems.

The domain was owned by gtcellphone of NY prior to RIM getting the domain.

We don’t know if they paid for the domain or the previous company gave it up but it was not the subject of a UDRP

Wait until CloudBacklash goes live! There’s plenty of material, including this blackberry issue, Amazon, and siri.
