This weekend I will be speaking at the IP Law & Management Institute in Palm Springs on the only panel dedicated to the new gTLD program. entitled “Seizing the Opportunity of Securing gTLDs for your Organization and your Industry in my role as Director of RightoftheDot.com.

I’ll be on the panel with representatives of Verisign as we present to attorney’s representing some of the biggest brands on earth including DuPont, Procter & Gamble, Google, LG Electronics, Pfizer, Chevron,  Broadcom, Dow, BP and the list goes on and on.

I’m not only speaking on the panel but have many meetings scheduled with representatives of some of these brands which should give me a hands on view of what the brands think about the new gTLD program.

The conference runs Sunday-Tuesday.

Corporate America hasn’t even fully wrapped their minds around generic .coms. Are gTLD’s being presented as “THE” domain solution, or as an supplement to traditional domains, (especially .coms).
