UnitedDomains.com which just has been taking pre-reservations for new gTLD domain names back in March of this year, just crossed the 400,000 mark.

Currently there are 406,000+ new gTLD domain name pre-reservations at United.

They are taking pre-reservations in the following new potential  gTLD’s:

.africa .bank .bayern .bcn .berlin .bike .board .bzh .california .cymru .earth .eco .eus .fam .film .florida .free .gay .gmbh .green
.hamburg .hiv .horse .hotel .irish .ker .koeln .kurd .london .love .madrid .moscow .money .miami .movie .mls .music .naples .ngo .nyc
.one .pad .paris .peace .phone .quebec .radio .real .riga .roma .saarland .secure .sfo .shop .sco .scot .sic .site .skate .ski .sport .surf
.vegas .versicherung .ven .web .wine

Keep in mind that Uniteddomains.com is German based and although like any ICANN accredited registrars can accept customers worldwide, to some extent may have a bigger customer presence in German and Europe than in the US which may impact the results.

However I do find it interesting that .Site is #3 and that .nyc has more pre-reservations that .berlin given that this registrar is Germany based.

Also important to note that all pre-reservations are “free and non-binding.”

The top 10 TLD or strings, those with the most pre-reservations on UnitedDomains.com are:

gTLD’s will do nothing to add value for the average web user.
