We have confirmed that Russel King who had been serving the ICM Registry the operator of the .XXX registry in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer of ICM, is no longer with the company.

It seems that Mr. King was terminated by ICM shortly after the Singapore ICANN meeting which he attended on ICM’s behalf in June.

Mr. King has been with ICM since 2010.

We Met Mr. King at several ICANN meetings and always found him to be smart, well spoken, highly likeable guy and  we wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors.

It looks like the ICM registry’s plans are falling apart. The adult industry never wanted the .xxx stld and has been fighting it since it first reared its ugly head. Hustler and Manwin put them on notice because of potential trademark violations. The ICM Registry hired a new representative who turned out to be a cocaine addict who got himself arrested twice in one week. They hired a photographer to take pictures at the YNOT meeting and as a result this photographer got flamed on most adult forums.

“adult industry never wanted the .xxx”

because it only adds costs and problems

    Very negative commenters.

Perhaps the gentlemen took his success fee and left after a job well done.

“… the first signal of an xxx flop?”

You haven’t been paying attention. The bodies are just beginning to stack up… and that doesn’t even take into consideration the high weirdness going on behind the scenes.

And this is porn, although Lawley and Liley want to pretend it’s just a business, which means there are a LOT of scenes available for high weirdness.

It is interesting that they would work so hard to launch a service that the industry the service caters too does not support.

Seems like making a no product for car owners that car owners don’t want.

At this point it is time to wait and see how it pans out.

What bothers me the most about this extension is the number of countries that will
boycott. If I had some adult sites running I would keep the .com and refuse to be “shaken
down” by ICM in the name of “brand protection”.
