by Michael H. Berkens

May started off with a bang as the domain name Dispensaries.com just sold for a whopping $32,600 on NameJet.com

There were 4 bidders over $10K battling it out for this domain.

The domain was a drop domain rather than an owned domain meaning that someone let go a very valuable domain.

Legend.net also sold today for just shy of $7K at $6,937

Aibuy.com sold for $1,612, whatever that means.

This is wonderful. However, the domain dispensaries.com is on pending renewal or delet as at today 1/4/2011 on whois record. It was registered on 23/3/09 expired on 23/3/2011. Now renewed and to expire on 23/3/2012. According to my view, it seems the domain was sold before the actual 42 days pending renewal grace period. Or what happend ? Is the original Owner dead or tired or in a comma, or lost his login details ? Well, I left this with series of curiousity and questions.

first of all this is not very much money in colorado there is a dispensary that does 20 million a yr in revenue. so this is nothing peanuts.second there is drivers that deliver pot right to your door so with a domain, cell phone and advertising this is extremely undervalued.
not to mention old school ads like westword who could make this amount in less than 90 days with advertising buys.
now for all you yeahoos that think this is a good deal lets do the numbers…..
1/8th oz $50.00 thats 400 an oz times 16 oz per lb equals 6,400 a lb so for 5 lbs thats less
than 3 plants the market is now sewed up with the correct strategy implemented.

‘ai’ is chinese pinyin, meaning ‘love’, so aibuy.com is a name hack, the buyer is most likely chinese. i guess the buyer wants to use it for a shopping site…
