Jexy.com a nice LLLL.com just sold on Sedo.com for $40,000.

Of course I’m trying to figure out what Jexy is

I see a coming soon site under Jexy.co

There is also a Facebook page by the same company Jexy which seems to be a Software company in San Francisco.

The domain is still in the transfer process so we will have to wait to see who winds up with it.

Its another nice sale.

Congrats to the Seller and Buyer.

I remember darkly to have heard of a pharmaceutical company of this name.

That the beauty of 4l- you never know when you going to hit the lottery.

4l will always sell -it all depends on how much

MHB – Your instinct seems to be correct.

Clay Loveless, founder of Jexy.co, tweeted a couple hours ago, …..”echoes my recent experience getting jexy.com”….

    From the Linkedin profile:

“Jexy provides an abstraction API for productivity data.

Developers, quit wasting time implementing connections to email servers, calendar servers, TODO list services, directory services and more. Let Jexy’s API power the plumbing so you can get to work building your product.”

I guess they figured the Colombian market was too small for them 🙂

    LOL Anthony.
I am sure the guy who bought .co was at first all excited how he got .co for next to nothing and how .co is almost as good as .com. Then he started telling people and getting feedback that it all sounds kind-of cheap, unprofessional, and fishy. Kind-of like arriving to important business meeting with executives in old beat-up Hyundai.

Jon – very well said … TRUST is a key factor in converting customers to buyers …

.CO sounds ” kind-of cheap, unprofessional, and fishy “.

The ironic thing here too is that he could have gotten a much better LLLL.com for $50K if he started with open slate. But once he committed to Jexy be branding as Jexy.co, he painted himself into a corner and had no options but to pay the asking price for .com if he wanted to be taken seriously.

Jon … true … maybe though was better suited to their needs

no pro .co comments yet ? … maybe they are seeking advice from .me owners … just teasing 🙂

Another example of the demand for app times. This just might be the single biggest domain opportunity known to, but unmined by man.

Many companies will embrace .co in coming years – be patient, it’s only been a few months.

    Umined how?
Domainers have locked up all the LLLL.com’s.
Those that are pronounceable command a handsome premium… Once you get into 5 and 6 letter, catchy and pronounceable .com’s, you’re up against infinite alternative options.

Yeah, OK Mr. Domainer, you own Floozoo.com and I, Mr. App Developer, kinda thought it would be a good domain… but no, sir, I’m not going to pay you $50,000 for it, because unlike a keyword domain that has a finite difference, there’s no functional difference between what you have and Wezio or Farazz or Gimvee, or any other number of domains that will work just as well… and if I keep trying, I’ll eventually find one for sale cheap, or to hand register.

There’s no way domainers can get ahead of web2 names, which is a large part of the reason they’ve become so popular for real world applications that actually make money.

    finite difference = finite meaning

Jexy is the the purchaser of this domain and they will be using the .COM in the coming days after everything settles. They will be using a redirect to the .COM domain.

Oh and from my understandings, Jexy has something to do with email. Not 100% sure yet. They plan on having their launch in May at Tech Crunch.

Just thought you might be interested.
    Cheers

I should of bought the name long, copyright & patent. My ex nicknamed me Jexy in 99 and I was known for a time on the net as Jexy. I started a fashion line 5 years ago with the name and I just changed it. I have a love/hate with all, I’m better off without it. I’m still pissed off, It’s a reminder of my epic fail. I hope this Claylo isn’t the guy that’s been stalking online for the last 8-9 years.
