Its December 12th 2010: You Have Exactly 2 Years Before The End Of The World

According to the Mayan Calendar the world as we know it will end on December 12, 2012 exactly 2 years from now.

There are thousands of website devoted to the subject and one major motion picture.

The basic premise is that the sun will scorch the earth with a force of 10 million bombs wiping out every living creature on earth; destroy every building, every structure; destroy all power and communication systems and make the earth’s surface inhabitable for a period of time.

The only way to survive will be in one of the many government bunkers that the Former Governor of Minnesota Jessie Ventura Says are being prepared to house thousands of people who will begin to re-populate the earth.  Mr Ventura has a series of videos on YouTube.com on the subject and here is a link to one of them.

Or in a private underground structure that has its own power sources and clean air system with of course a lot of food and water in reserve.

Is any of this true?

I have no idea, but I do know that as the time gets closer you’re going to see an incredible amount traffic on the net as people search for information on the subject.

Those with bang on domains and content to match will have the opportunity to capture a lot of that traffic.

So you have an opportunity to make a lot of money before the world ends.

Interestedly two of the biggest companies in the space already have carved out a couple of great domains for the subject.

Tucows.com owns TheEndofTheWorld.com

Oversee.net owns TheWorldWillEnd.com

On the other hand, some of the best domains are being wasted.

2012.com does not resolve, nor does 2012.co

  14. Well 12.12.12 was the original date for the end of the world, and my father was born on 12.12.12, but of course 1912

    So if the world is going to end I would prefer it to be on 12/12/12 as originally predicted or exactly 100 years after my father was born

    My advice as always is to treat each day special, and live it up as you never know.

    The Earth is not expected to “end” just make some adjustments people might notice.

    That last earthquake in New Zealand moved the entire country 12 inches closer to Australia. Even the Chairman of ICANN can not spin that away and add distance.

    The .USA continues to pull in all fences.

    Helen and I are at the Mayan Palace Resort near Cancun. I can report that there are a ton of military types in response to the international environment conference going on in Cancun.

    No signs of the end of the world yet so I think its safe for us to get a golf game in today.

    The Mayan calendar is based on the alignment of the stars and planets. 12/21/2012 is the date at which Venus will traverse our Sun. This is their most sacred planet or something and the Sun is their god. Anyway, thats all that will happen… celestial bodies moving about, business as usual.
