Do you think that Google owns EVERYTHING?

I didn’t know that Google owned a Twitter like site at Jaiku.com until the other day.

I sure didn’t know that Google paid for $12 Million for the privilege.

Go check out the site for yourself and tell me how its worth $12 Mills.

If nothing else it should inspire you to do your own project on a domain you already own.

Did you  know that

    Chef

I agree with you but the lesson here is that Google bought this for $12 MILLION dollars.

If that doesn’t give you incentive to build something out I don’t know what will.

Mike, this isn’t as easy as just building out a website. It’s about creating a first-of-a-kind web service and that takes a lot expertise.

Or I could be wrong and someone will make a million dollar site with a free generic script LOL.

    .

fortunately, not ALL Google sites (like Knol) are a success, so, we can hope to don’t have a full Google’s web monopoly

The key is too get the socail hype machine known as techcrunch to feature you…it seems to do wonders for getting vc money, although they turn a blind eye to some of the better web strategies that actually make money…

What’s the saying…. everyone’s good at something, but no one’s good at everything.

Google has quite a history of buying promising sites (sometimes for lots of money) and letting them wither or die.

Even a devil can be sold if its cooked properly.

You should invent or at least duplicate at light speed.
