Moniker Traffic Auction Nets Almost $3 Million
The Moniker.com domain auction at the TRAFFIC New York Show just concluded and the sale grossed a total of just under $3 Million.
.me was the darling of the show, with all 11 .me domains selling for between $6,000 and $70,000.
FinancialAid.com was the highest selling domain at $800K, followed by floor.com for $275,000.
Combined with the first night moniker auction, the Rick Latona Auction and the Aftermarket auction, the total sold at the TRAFFIC show was just about $4 Million, showing the continued strength of the domain market compared to the weakness of the overall economy.

All things in the general economy considered, I thought this was a strong showing. Even without the big sale, there were strong names priced right. Congrats to Moniker on a very positive result.

I think the prcies would have been much if it wasn’t for the uncertainty about the economy. Way too many domains were passed up because they didn’t reach their reserves.

43% of the domain sold, which I think is close to a record for a Moniker.com TRAFFIC auction.
Very good when you consider there were many 7 figure names that we just not going to sell.
Once again with the success of all the basically zero reserve domains, it shows if you put a low reserve on your domains in that auction you will get a fair price, you have the 500 smartest domainers in the world and they are not going to let a domain like sax.com go for $5K just because it had a low reserve.

I own the domain 21Club.net and was wondering if anyone knew what it would be worth if I sold it. I think it is a great domain name due to it’s tie in with BlackJack so I built an affiliate site around the name but haven’t been able to monetize it due to the US position against online casinos. I would only let it go if I knew that I could make 20,000 plus. Would this be feasable and how would I go about this?

I also think that Buy.Me, Loan.Me and Rent.Me were unbelievably cheap. (perhaps all those that were interested in Buy.Me, Loan.Me and Rent.Me but missed out, should have visited FinancialAid.com before the auction
