Almost exactly 5 years ago, a UDRP decision was made that had most domain investors saying WTF! The domain name Vanity.com was lost in a UDRP. Mike wrote about it on Jun 20, 2012. And now today Mike uncovered this from Hilco Streambank that the complainant in the case has filed Chapter 11 and that their assets will be auctioned off. Sedo weekly sales led by YMB.com
Sedo released their weekly sales and YMB.com led the way at $35,000. okChina.com was number two at $32,500. Casino.co.jp sold for $20,000. I did contact Sedo and told them they put this in the wrong category. .Co.JP is the country code for Japan. I liked Shoppo.com for $10,000. Give this domainer a big hand for ripping off Milo Yiannopoulos to the tune of $138,000 https://t.co/WxevaYaNXv #domains — Kevin Murphy (@DomainIncite) June 24, 2017 After that there were some back and forth replies on Twitter … [Read more...]
Do you do any affiliate marketing?
I had a reader ask me a question that I don't think I know the answer to anymore. They asked me if a lot of domain investors also partake in affiliate marketing? Years ago I knew quite a few people that were using affiliate programs with some of their domain names. Today I really haven't had much discussion, it seems some of the people I knew into affiliate marketing, haven't communicated … [Read more...]
Domain Investors Need To Learn Some Trademark Law
By now everyone knows that Rick Schwartz prevailed in the UDRP filed on Queen.com. There was also a finding of RDNH. Last year Mr. Schwartz was dealing with enforcing his trademark for "Domain King." While he lost his dispute for DomainKing.biz some of the comments on our two posts about Rick enforcing his trademark for "Domain King" left me scratching my head. Frankly I was pretty shocked … [Read more...]
