Sedo, and Web.com Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:WWWW) a leading provider of Internet services and online marketing solutions for small businesses, today announced a partnership that will give customers access to more than 18 million premium domain names, including those under new Internet domain extensions being launched this year.

By joining Sedo’s multi-listing Service, SedoMLS, customers of Network Solutions, Register.com and any of their resellers will be able to quickly and easily find the right domain for their business, even if that name is already registered.

As a full SedoMLS partner, Web.com enjoys benefits such as access to Sedo’s entire database of listings, including domains being offered as Buy Now or Make Offer sales.

In addition, as new generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) are introduced this year to join traditional extensions like .com, .net and .org, many premium domains under the new extensions will be available to Web.com customers through Sedo’s exclusive partnerships with gTLD registries.

This gives Web.com customers access to additional premium names from hundreds of their favorite new extensions that are only available through Sedo, and enables them to make purchases directly from Web.com properties. Additionally, Web.com customers can list and sell their premium domains directly on the SedoMLS network.

This should go a long way to replace the loss of Godaddy which Sedo is losing as an MLS partner at the end of March

    “18 million premium domain names”

I have been a domain investor into my 16th calendar year. I honestly feel I have somewhere between 0 and 25 “premium domains”.

    Where did I go wrong ? 🙂

    >Moreover, Customer further represents and warrants that it has a present good faith intention to use any domain name or URL it requests in connection with the Services and that it is not merely “cybersquatting” (i.e., obtaining the a domain name merely to attempt to sell the rights to the domain name or subdomain to some third party) . . . This Agreement, as well as any additional Web.com terms and conditions, rules, policies, and service agreements, together with all modifications thereto, constitute the entire agreement between you and Web.com concerning your use of the Services and any other subject matter related to this Agreement, and supersedes and governs all prior proposals, agreements or other communications between you and Web.com (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of this Agreement). Customer may not waive, modify or supplement this Agreement, in whole or in part, except for written permission or amendment by Web.com.

So, you’re a cybersquatter by, “obtaining the a domain name merely to attempt to sell the rights to the domain name or subdomain to some third party,” but, now, “Web.com customers can list and sell their premium domains directly on the SedoMLS network.”

@ MHB, would you get clarification of this from Web.com rep? Is an adjustment to the terms on its way?
