Solo.com Sells on Sedo.com For $133,000

October 28, 2011 by Michael Berkens

The domain name Solo.com just sold for $133,000 on Sedo.com

The domain name originally registered in 1994 has been under privacy for years.

Back when it was not under privacy the  W7 Media Inc was the registered owner of the domain back in 2007 according to DomainTools.com

According to their site:

“W7 Media invests heavily in intellectual property, namely domain names and provides a number of IP related services to its corporate clients.”

They are located in Blaine, WA

So they could be the seller

The domain name is currently in Sedo escrow.

Had my eyes on it for a while but couldn’t see a justified/optimistic plan where the model I had in mind would make sense business wise (solo travelers). Great purchase with an upside resale value if buyer’s plan is unsuccessful.

It might’ve been bought by a new startup. Some startups with nice domains > . Ex. Nest com, batch com, meet com

It probably went to the Canadian cell phone company. They would have the means anyway.

Nice to see yet another cybersquatter make bank adding yet another thread of respectability and credibility to the business!

Solo.com looks to be alot better than most of W7s other names.

    oldcunts.com
    teenspissing.com
    lesbiansfucking.com
    queersex.com

A little something for everyone there huh, but hey, they do not restrict themselves to just porn; they’ve got the requisite tm infringing names going for themselves as well

    khalsacreditunion.com
    ferrarispider.com
