The domain name Wanlian.com sold on Namejet.com today for a whopping $17,200 and Countryside.com sold for $16,300.
Another $55K in Bids went to waste, as 3 domain names failed to meet reserve.
Wanlian seems to be a popular domain in the Asian culture both on the personal level and also included in the name of many businesses.
The domains that failed to meet reserve on my list were:
woodshop.com $8,766
soccerequipment.com $15,802
foodguide.com $30,000
great sale for the day, but the biggest is zy.com for $105999 on sedo.com, this two letter domain rocks man!!! also 0k.com is for auction at cax.com and some cool name like begoff.com, r3.net, coffeeshop.net is also there for sale, looking forward for a new big sale…
Findyourdomain does it again 😉
FoodGuide.com …mmmm, nice
I think Countryside.com was a STEAL at $16k.
Killer name for home decoration, country style food and even real estate (country homes).
It probably gets a ton of typo traffic from Countrywide.com as well.
I went to a golf coarse this weekend and its name was Country Side. Pretty nice coarse but I’m very sure they were not the buyers. Nice domain though. Thanks for the report Michael.
Wow @ foodguide.com reserve not met for 30k?
that price is too cheap for countryside.com imho
way better domain than many recent names have sold for in xxx,xxx range
in fact better than any domain most wanted have sold in past couple of years for sure!
When I looked at all the premium 3rd party domains NameJet spread out over the last 5 weeks – Countryside.com was the gem at the top of my list I thought I had a slight chance on without getting blown out by the deep pockets.
IMO – Countryside.com would have gone for a lot lot more than the 25k I was ready to put down but the stock market dumping 635 likely contributed to me getting it for $16K. This is one of the top 5 buys of my 13+ year career as a domain investor.
my actual stats show 50 organics a day – for whatever that is worth.
From all over the world.
And Andrew – never even thought of the countrywide “typo” – good call after the fact – thanks
@ Brian – Congrats!!! 🙂
