What’s interesting is this service, VeriSign Data Analyzer . . . Verisign knows the numbers on registered and unregistered domains and keywords. Lots of power.

I think this list illustrates the difference in traffic. While these domains may get traffic from old links and whatever, they are not type ins. A type in is a person behind a computer that actually types in their destination for a reason. That is different than taking a wrong turn by clicking a link that no longer goes where you thought it would. One is very valuable and one is worthless. WHY mix the 2 together and treat them equally?? That is my issue with PPC, G&Y. Just because they don’t know the difference or more likely don’t care, does not make them equal.

A couple of MINOR names, most the bacteria under pigeon shit, you know like guys with names that begin with SCH and who spew BS and don’t let anyone comment.

Anyone paying attention to property.com, it used to be page one google for ‘property’, now that it’s on the SCHilling java code it was dropped. Exactly like the LORDS told everyone it would happen before it happened.

    Morning folks…

    Have a great day.

    LOL

Rick Schwartz is the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black when he rants and raves
about companies pulling the wool over peoples eyes.

I wonder if the non adult/domaining world know about his adult world pre paid advertising scheme which cost many private companies millions of dollars.

It worked like this: own a few powerful type in adult domain names, eg porno.com

Rant and rave on boards about his potent high octane quality traffic, and how
he will only deal with trustworthy people, people of the highest morale standards etc
as long as they “pre pay” the monthly advertising/traffic cost upfront. Oh and also
rant and rave about how much testing he does, giving you further confidence. People the
guy has not internet/traffic conversion skills, other than having type in traffic.

Continued, Every private company that takes up Ricks offer (note: they were nearly all private operators back in the day just like you are) lost money, lots of money.
Now this might seem okay to some, but while Rick was knowingly losing peoples money with his pre paid over priced advertising scheme, the rest of the industry were sending traffic to a sponsor and getting paid on the number of memberships sold. It worked like this because an adult sponsor has to make a PROFIT because there is very little to NO branding value
in the online adult world, because traffic comes and goes if you pardon my pun.

But not Rick, he will only send traffic to a sponsor if they pay him UPFRONT with no testing, after he has spruiked the hell out of his traffic quality and created an environment where you’ll be part of the in group if your associated with him. A lot like he continually talks about “Frankie” and other high profile names on his blog. But it was a take no prisoners
approcah back in the adult world, and if you didnt tow the line with the main group you
could get wiped out by the main players turning off their traffic, so it wasnt worth
it for anyone to speak out about Rick pre paid advertising scheme. Plus nearly all of the people in the group were sponsors and hoped Rick would send traffic to their performance paid affiliate programs.

Theres nothing illegal about what Rick did, but he over sold his traffic for years on teh adult message boards protected by the heavy hitters with the full knowledge
his buyers were not renewing their pre paid advertising agreements with him, i wonder why?

Hes a top salesman, but he cant be held up as anyone you can trust.

  12. Joe King says

    June 8, 2011 at 7:18 am

so in other words Ricks business plan was..

    1. oversell,

    2. spruik you a/ have the highest high octane traffic quality, b/ you are the master of testing traffic and c/ you will only deal with people of the highest moral standard

    3. only accept upfront payment for his traffic because he knows they would pull it
after a day when they see the sales results compared with what
    they are paying for it

    4. rinse and repeat

nothing illegal, but he knew these private companies would
lose money and he did it for years

  13. Joe King says

    June 8, 2011 at 7:29 am

we all kept quite for years about it hoping he would send traffic
to our affiliate programs the same way everybody else did, which was on
performance/per membership sold (paid every couple of weeks),
a system which allowed EVERYONE to make a profit and if someone didnt like the
traffic conversion rate to membership sales there were lots or sponsors they
    could change to

but not Rick, hes got high octane quality traffic which he tests everyday! and this means
special treatment, so special it gives it to you in the ass lol

    well if you test
it so much Rick why did you keep over spruiking it and selling it to private
companies with full knowledge they would lose a lot of money in an industry which
only worked on profit, not branding?

  14. Joe King says

    June 8, 2011 at 7:33 am

for someone who effectively ran an adult traffic scheme ripping off private operators for millions of dollars over many years
you sure have a lot to say about companies that dont meet your moral standards lol
