Here are the results for the Moniker.com extended TRAFFIC auction which was held on SnapNames.com yesterday which generated $278,338 in sales.
In all, 139 domains sold and I’m sure none of you would have picked the highest selling domain as OneOfAKind.com which went from its reserve of $5K all the way up to $26K.
A pretty good results especially considering all of the news surrounding SnapNames.com yesterday and the less than great results of the live auction last week:

I wouldn’t have picked OneOfAKind.com to sell for the most our of the bunch, but it doesn’t surprise me. Every domain is one of a kind, and many services as well.
I think overall it has to be considered a disappointment but I do think there were some good buys in the group. Unfortunately, there are good buys everywhere and therefore maybe they’re not as good as I think
$590 for KeyWestTravel.com ???
Yikes what a deal. I didn’t see that one.
THe compilation of the stats… and the timely sharing of the information…
is greatly appreaciated by me… Thank You Michael…
Questions:
1. Is there a list somewhere of Domain Brokers — that are successful at it ??
2. Is there a source of SOLDS stats — for domains BY Extension…
For Example if for that week someone needed info on solds in
the .tv .info or .org ONLY — is there a place that spits that out for us in that format ??
3. Anyone have “connections” to get names INTO the Events…
It’s frustrating to see lots of sub-par names make it in when each of
us KNOW we had something BETTER that wasn’t accepted…
I know.. I know we all think our names are the best… I don’t…
but when one is… well… it is…
Thanks in Advance…

Mike, would be curious what your take on what this says about the industry and the lack of buying enthusiasm. Many great names were passed and a lot very sold very cheaply. Do you think the big investors just have too much inventory or that if you have $300K to invest maybe domains are no longer the best place to park your money?

Well Sedo.com seems to have weekly five and six figure domain sales and hundreds of smaller deals.

I don’t have this nor am I aware of any source that has a searchable database.
Ask Ron Jackson if you can take the historical info off of Dnjournal.com and make up a searchable database.

I understand your frustration. I do not think anyone has an “in”.
However if you have a very good domain at a excellent reserve you should get into any event.

I can only speak for myself.
I have plenty of domains and at this point I’m only willing to spend money on domains which are a natural fit to something else I have or something that I feel is an incredible bargain.
Not too many incredible bargains in those auctions
