With respect to the names on the list I would say Pearlearrings.com and Motorcyclehelmets.com are pretty solid pickups These are both category defining names with products that have high margins. If the buyers are looking to build businesses on them I would think that they will have no problem re-couping the cost of the name in short order. For a pure domainer looking to flip they may not agree with me. But for somebody looking to develop a niche business these are gold.
I personally picked up a name at the TRAFFIC auction that I like, but I have a business I can plug straight into it. The name I almost wanted to purchase on a whim was isupplies.com, I think Rick Schwartz may have bought it (I could be mistaken). I am not a big fan of the iXXX.com name but I have a feeling this one will sell down the road for a nice multiple. I just didn’t have the balls to pull the trigger, maybe next time.
Thanks again everyone, this industry has great people and is just an its infancy. Tremendous opportunities lay ahead even for those joining the game “LATE”!

@ Rashid All the more reason to buy at these rock bottom prices and market directly to end users. I can't tell you how many times I see names bought and sold within 3-12 months for 500% returns.

I agree in so many ways with the ultimate message of this post — auction companies NEED to start marketing to end users.
The auctions themselves are starting to become meaningless because you are correct in saying that we are only selling to each other and that means the only way to sell a domain is generally for way below it’s value.
While I agree with other commenters that it is unreasonable to expect the auction companies to spend time marketing individual domains to end users unless we’re talking 6 figure domains, I do believe that more MAJOR efforts need to be put into educating Madison Avenue and the business world in general about the inherent value of generic keyword rich category defining domain names.
